Egypt takes home first prize at Art Biennale in Ecuador

Egyptian visual artist Nadia Sirry has been awarded first prize at the fifth International Art Biennial in Ecuador.

The winning work, about The Nile River, is composed of two oil paintings: The Timeless Nile and The Nile flood.

Egyptian ambassador to Ecuador Medhat El-Meligy and his wife both attended the award ceremony, which took place at the People’s Assembly hall.
